Wow! Thirteen months old already! Adalyn has been such a little character lately! Here are some pictures of her from the last week:
Looking good in her bibs and hat
Little rascal!
Now that she is more coordinated, she really likes to ride on her car or bouncing zebra
Climbing on the chair
Visiting with Grandpa Pat
Wearing her new clips
And Ellie in the dishwasher
Well, most of Ellie's "spots" came out clean....:)

Big Bear
We got Adalyn a huge stuffed bear when they went on sale after Valentine's Day. When she saw it in the store she was very excited and wanted to give it a big hug. Now, when we ask her where big bear is, she runs over to it and starts jumping up and down. She also loves to climb, cuddle and enjoy a cup of milk with big bear!
She also loves running around the house in her shades

Long Weekend and Finger-Snapping!
We had a fun three-day weekend with Valentine's day and President's day. On Valentine's day, my mom and Russ offered to babysit Adalyn so Jamey and I could go out to dinner. We left when Adalyn was busy showing them things in the other room so she never saw us leave. She gets really upset when she sees me leave, but not seeing our exit was fine! She played with them the whole time until she fell asleep when my mom rocked her right before we got home. She had so much fun! Thanks very much mom and Russ for watching her! We really appreciated a dinner out.
We also spent some time with Dana and went back to the Carousel. Adalyn loves the horses and it only costs a few dollars for all of us to ride. One ride is definitely enough for me!
Adalyn checking the horses out again with Jamey and Aunt Dana
Riding the ponies!
The weather was nice enough to go for a walk on Monday afternoon too. Last year, the weather on President's Day was about the same and we took Adalyn on her first neighborhood walk.
Last year....
Three weeks old, little sleepy head
Bundled up for her first walk one year ago
She slept through the entire walk then
Pushing our little one in her stroller
This year....
Wide awake and sporting some shades
All smiles
Pushing our sweet girl
Adalyn has recently started snapping her fingers. We couldn't figure out how she learned this but then realized we snap to get her attention for photos sometimes and we also snap at the cat to get off the table so she must have picked it up. Jamey and I both think we didn't learn to snap our fingers until we were much older, maybe 10 :) After her meal, I caught her snapping and showing some of the body parts she has learned.

Sweet Valentine!
I just want to share some fun pictures. We set up some sheets and took some birthday dress/valentine shots of Adalyn. We have too much fun :)
Happy Valentine's Day!
Here is our sweet little gal
She was very interested in inspecting a leftover party blower from her birthday
Hmmm...how does this thing work again?
Are you sure I can play with this?
Interesting....
Is this the end I blow on?
Maybe I'll try this way too...
Here, you guys show me!

Learning new things and trip to Darby
Adalyn has been busy this past week! She has been using her own spoon to feed herself a little and has enjoyed eating avocado and shrimp along with her usual favorites. She is walking everywhere and sometimes goes so fast she looks like she wants to break into a run. She has also been really good about identifying things by pointing them out, the most recent including her tummy, feet and different toys. She is really amazing us with all of the things she recognizes. Also, she started climbing things last week! She climbed up and stood on her chair and the potty chair/stool in the bathroom. Thankfully I was there to prevent her from falling! If there is something climbable in front of the couch, she gets right up on top of the couch in a second! She can climb up stairs quickly but we don't give her very many chances to practice. She is sure growing up fast.
We went to Darby to visit with Jamey's family this past weekend. We enjoyed a delicious meal and watched Adalyn and our niece Brenna play and entertain us. Adalyn only had a twenty minute nap on the way down to Darby and was up all day playing and she did great!
Here are some pictures from the day:

Children's Museum
On Saturday, we took Adalyn to the Children's Museum. She had fun crawling around in tunnels and exploring the different activities. There wasn't a lot for kids her age, just a small area, so we spent some time in the areas for older kids and just looking around at things. She will probably have more fun there when she gets older. Unfortunately, Adalyn got "bullied" by a slightly older boy while we were there. He was probably almost two and was playing in the infant/toddler (0-2 yrs) area with his mom. We were walking with Adalyn outside the gate and he wanted to come out to see her. He walked over to her and just suddenly pushed her down! She wasn't really hurt but was crying a little. His mom apologized and said he was in a new "pushing" phase. He then said, "the baby is crying" and also pushed his mom! I am not too excited about my little Punkie getting pushed down at playtime. I was considering taking Adalyn to the toddler playgroup held at the museum but now I think I will wait until she is older....
Other than that, she had a lot of fun!
Getting ready to leave
Checking out the play area
Tunnels are funny when mommy is at the other end!
Making the funniest face at the water table
Oops! Trying to pour water on the foor
Adalyn and daddy in the "groundwater tunnel"
She was laughing and having a blast trying to climb up the slide
